How do family members get their photos onto the frame?
Make an iCloud Shared Album in the Photos app on any iPhone, invite the frame's Apple Account, and accept the invitation on the iPad. Turn the album on in WhoFrame under Settings, Choose Photos. From then on, anything the family adds appears on the frame by itself, shown first and marked New.
Why don't I see my Shared Albums?
Check that Shared Albums is on in the iPad's Settings, Photos, and that Photos access for WhoFrame is set to Full Access rather than Limited. Then tap Refresh albums now in WhoFrame's Choose Photos.
Can WhoFrame create a Shared Album for me?
Apple doesn't let apps create Shared Albums. WhoFrame can suggest and create regular albums, and its Share Photos button opens the share sheet, where Add to Shared Album puts those photos in a new or existing Shared Album.
Can it show photos from Google Photos or Google Drive?
Google doesn't let other apps read Google Photos albums or pick Google Drive folders. WhoFrame can show a folder from iCloud Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or a network drive through the Files app.
How do I get to the dashboard?
Swipe down on the photos, or tap the faint tab at the top of the screen. Swipe up or tap its photo to go back to the full-screen photos.
How do I turn off night mode?
At night, tap the moon in the top corner and confirm. A tap anywhere else brings back the color for a minute. Night hours and the night style are under Settings, Night.
What can I say to it?
Turn on listening under Settings, Voice and Kitchen Helper. Then say “Hey iPad” (or “Hey iPhone”) followed by things like “set a timer for 10 minutes”, “play some piano music”, “show me pictures of Sam”, “good night” or “how do I make pancakes?”
The frame stopped after the iPad restarted.
Open WhoFrame again from the Home Screen. Keep the iPad on its charger, since the frame keeps the screen on.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature is free with no ads and no subscription. If you'd like to support it, you can leave a tip under Settings, About and Tips.
